Emergency Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Response in Afghanistan (Daykundi, Badghis, Farah, Herat, Khost and Paktika) and Humanitarian Assistance Program across all 34 provinces in Afghanistan
This project supports IOM Afghanistan's assistance to displaced and otherwise affected populations in country through the prepositioning and distribution of Emergency Shelter/Non-food (ES/NFI) items and by improving access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services and items. The ES/NFI component includes nationwide coverage, while the WASH program is focusing on the priority provinces of Daykundi, Badghis, Farah and Herat. In addition, both sectors will include support to the emergency earthquake response and recovery efforts in Paktika and Khost provinces in close coordination with partners. IOM will also make a contribution to the core pipeline for the WASH cluster, including water kits, hygiene promotion items and menstrual hygiene management materials.
