Provision of Humanitarian Coordination, Shelter and Settlements, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA), Health and Protection Assistance for Crisis-Affected Populations in Ethiopia

Budget for this programme
$23.1M
23.1 million USD

Ethiopia has one of the most complex human mobility environments in the world, with factors ranging from conflict, drought, environmental degradation, damage to basic services and infrastructure, to changing livelihood strategies in an evolving political and economic milieu where poverty, and progressive depletion of coping mechanisms available to the displaced and host communities exist in large portions of the country, often leading to more displacements. As a result of these crises and displacements, immediate lifesaving priorities for crisis-affected populations in Ethiopia include critical shelter and settlement, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), health, nutrition and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), protection and humanitarian coordination and information management interventions. The proposed multi-sector intervention aims to respond to urgent needs of the crisis affected population in Tigray, Afar, Amhara, Somali, Oromia, Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region (SNNP), Benishangul-Gumuz, Gambella, and South-West regions. The project ensures all activities prioritize the specific needs of vulnerable groups in every response.
