THCJ Business and investment facilitation programme
Under the Strategic Partnership between UNCTAD and The Netherlands, the Division on Investment and Enterprise carries out several workstreams. The core of the programme is Business and Investment Facilitation, which entails the streamlining of administrative procedures for business and investors, in particular through digital government tools. The division implements Information portals and online single windows that make rules and regulations transparent and enable their simplification. This benefits especially micro, small and medium-sized businesses (supporting formalization), as well as international investors (through improved governance and regulatory stability). In addition to business and investment facilitation projects in several countries, the programme funded under the Strategic Partnership includes work on Investment Policy Reviews and International Investment Agreements , always with a view to strengthening the investment facilitation impact of policies, institutions and agreements.
