HELIOS - Hellenic Integration Support for Beneficiaries of International Protection
The project aims at facilitating the integration of beneficiaries of international protection into the Greek society, in close collaboration with the Greek Government. More precisely, the project will seek to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted provision of services offered so far under past IOM's programming (HELIOS). Beneficiaries will be supported through several activities promoting independent living, including, amongst others, housing support, integration courses and employability support, building social cohesion and assisting sensitization of the host communities on integration measures. For the implementation of activities, IOM will continue collaborating with implementing partners with whom meaningful partnerships were established under the HELIOS project funded by DG HOME. Coordination will be also ensured at all stages of the project with national authorities, specifically the Ministry of Migration and Asylum (MoMA), Municipalities, Prefectures, as well as other local actors engaged in migrants’ integration.
