UNRWA will sustain and increase access to water through continuing and maintaining the operation of existing desalination systems, water wells and water trucking. This will be done by providing fuel to desalinization stations, generators and fuel for wells, and trucking for water. Where necessary, UNRWA will provide bottled water to ensure that clean and safe water is available for those who cannot access other sources of water. Through this appeal, UNRWA aims to improve the situation of environmental health through providing family hygiene kits, maintaining hygiene at UNRWA managed shelters and sites through cleaning supplies, strengthening solid waste management, constructing mobile toilet units and vector control.
